ELKHART, Ind. — Public relations as a way to drive sales and build brand awareness for business-to-business marketing is the next topic in the ongoing series of free luncheon programs conducted by Spearhead Sales & Marketing of Elkhart.

The next program is scheduled for Wednesday, May 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Spearhead offices, 223 S. Main St., downtown Elkhart. It is open to sales and marketing executives across Northern Indiana, including in Elkhart and St. Joseph counties. Executives may register online at http://b2b-publicrelations.com.

TaigMarks Advertising and Public Relations of Elkhart will lead the presentation. TaigMarks partners with Spearhead to provide a turnkey service that effectively coordinates public relations with sales and marketing functions to achieve sales goals. TaigMarks is a full-service marketing firm, including brand development, strategic planning and implementation of both marketing and public relations programs. It brings to the discussion years of experience with business-to-business public relations, including product launches, company start-ups and a wide variety of approaches and tactics.

The luncheon event will address the proposal that business-to-business public relations means more than writing press releases, but involves a number of approaches and tactics to bolster efforts to build a company brand, drive sales and establish new customer relationships. Public relations, in fact, can involve a diverse array of communications along with press contact, which can involve such vehicles as social media, blogs, special web pages, e-news bulletins and videos. The program will also leave participants with specific suggestions for developing press releases and media contacts.

Again, there is no cost or obligation. Questions may be directed to Chad Root at 574-606-4243.

Spearhead Sales & Marketing provides consulting services, presentations and workshops on effective sales and marketing approaches. It has coordinated this ongoing series of free luncheon programs since December to provide “ideas, tools and resources” for area sales and marketing executives.
